Goodwood House Wedding Photography

Goodwood House is a very spectacular wedding venue. The estate belongs to the Dukes of Richmond and Lennox for the last 300 years. Build more than 400 years ago, the House still impresses with the interior and architecture, not mention the beautiful surrounding areas. The was no wonder that Darcey and Ryan choose this unique location for their wedding. Darcey, who always envisioned getting married here. Rewinding to when the wedding venue search began for the couple the House immediately made its way to the top of the shortlist.

“After our engagement, Ryan and I arranged to see a few venues but nothing compared to Goodwood House. Its character and history, combined with its magnificent grandeur, made it stand out like no other. The first time we visited the House, we were welcomed so warmly, and we were both blown away by the magnitude of its beauty. We knew straight away that we couldn’t ask for a perfect venue.”

As for Darcey & Ryan, the same was for me - once I’ve arrived at the venue, I immediately realised that this is a very spectacular place. Any wedding photographer would love to document the couples day here.

Their wedding day started in Darcey’s parents home where she was getting ready together with her family and all the girlfriends. Later that morning all the wedding party went to Arundel Cathedral - a magnificent place where the ceremony took place. Darcey looked stunning in her Pronovias wedding dress. After the ceremony, the couple and all the guests arrived at the Goodwood House, where the team greeted them with canapés and champagne. After the family photos in the gardens, I took the couple around the grounds for their portrait photographs. It was an incredibly beautiful day, and we got loads of opportunities to create some fashionable and creative couples photographs. Later the dinner was served at the historic ballroom. Executed in the French style of Louis XV, with a charming minstrel’s gallery to one end, this grand space is hung with portraits of Kings and Queens and the Dukes and Duchesses of Richmond and Gordon.

Speeches that followed after dinner were absolutely hilarious and full of laughter and amazing reactions. Right after the evening part was finished, all the guests were taken to the different room for the first dance and, of course, the party. The night was long, and everybody was on the dance floor.

It was a unique and very fashionable wedding. Full of laughter, emotions and beautiful people.

Thank you so much, Darcey and Ryan, for having me as your wedding photographer. It was my absolute pleasure being able to create your wedding story, and I hope this will be something for you to remember for the rest of your lives.
